Penny's
Jun 27, 2017
Two of my favorite things are ice cream and places with play areas. My newest favorite place, Penny's ice
cream shop, has both.
Located on Prince Street in the heart of Downtown Lancaster, Penny's serves up delicious Carmen and David's
ice cream with a smile. The place is always busy with a line out the door so you know it must be good! From
the adorable geometric painted wall to the perfectly restored charm, the building is busting with character. I also
love that the owners, two brothers and their families, can often be seen scooping any day of the week. Their
mom even served me a cone on a recent visit.
The twins love going to Penny's not only for the ice cream, but for the cute little kids corner complete with a
play hot dog and ice cream stand. The boys love "scooping" treats and I love gorging on my peanut butter Oreo
ice cream in a freshly made waffle cone in peace. It's a win-win every time.
Penny's also has a lovely little patio that can be enjoyed during the day in the shade or at night under the
strung lights.
Penny's also offers ice cream from their truck at Prince Street’s pop-up park which is equally adorable.
